How do I get started?
You will start with a copy of the "model" county site, which already has a lot of the structure defined.
The model site is visible at model.county.oregondemocrats.org.
You can experiment with the "insides" of the drupal site by logging into the demo site.
The demo site is a copy of the model site that you can make changes to. It is restored
every night to be like the model site.
Demo Site: demo.county.oregondemocrats.org.
User: webmaster
Pass: demo_master
These help pages are designed to help you convert the model into a site tailored for your county. The instructions here are very basic. Drupal is capable of much much more, and as you get familiar with the system and see what others have done, you may want to explore new features on your web site.
Please review the topics in this getting started guide first.
Start with the items in the Tips & Hints forum, especially:
If you have questions, please post them in the forums here, and if you have gained some experience, please watch the forums here to help out those following you. We are counting on the group of users here to support each other as much as possible.

- You can get help from Jenni Simonis. She works on Drupal professionally, and the DPO pays her for providing assistance with DPO site support. She is available for you as well, but she needs to make a living, so don't expect too much free support.
